Please bear with me and my slow start today. I had surgery yesterday afternoon and am just now beginning to “catch-up”!
A few months ago I was standing at my front door and a lady walked past with her dog,
and my smallest dog shot through my legs and went after her dog! 
I ran after her, the lady’s dog was on a leash, the lady tumbled 
and rolled in the grass, by this time my other dog had come out and was chasing as well! 
I was mortified! I helped the lady up and she let go of the leash and her dog went running across the field with my 2nd dog in chase! 
I tried to tell her not to worry, that the dog chasing hers was actually a puppy and was just glad that someone wanted to play! Now, a few days later I realized my heel was bruised, there was a knot, I had no idea what had happened, I thought I must have hit it on the bed rail in the middle of the night or something. Well, a month later I thought I had better get it checked out, the Dr. said I had broken a bone spur on my heel and it was jagged and pressing on my Achilles tendon and it was partially ruptured! Great! So, yesterday they went in and found more bone spurs… and this sounds lovely…CHISELED them off! They also removed one on the top of my foot as well, and repaired the Achilles. So, now no pressure on my foot for 6 weeks, crutches, and then physical therapy. So, I am in bed and have more time for you guys now! So please bear with me and I will get you some great deals while I am healing. 
I may still be slightly loopy from the anesthesia, I have slept many hours, so again bear with me if I am!

I am curious about your recovery. I have acheles tendonitus in both legs and my dr says I have spurs bigger than he has ever seen. He also informed me there is a big risk in this surgery because often the tendon does not reattach. It sounds to me that you are doing well and not having any issues, and that is encouraging to me! I have also plantar fascitus in the one leg so I am in a lot of constant pain. I am only 46 and the thought of being wheelchair bound has kept me from doing the surgery. So I was hoping you could tell me about yours. Did they have to detach the tendon to remove your spurs or just go in and remove the broked spurs. Any info is greatly appreciated, thanks!

They had to detach and reattach it to remove the spur, he said it was HUGE. and it went around my heel, I also had one on top of my foot that he removed as well at the same time.
I was in bed for quite some time, alot of it though was the fact that we have stairs and my husband said it would be easier and safer if I stayed upstairs.
It still hurts and is stiff. I wasn’t able financially to receive all of the physical therapy – most of it I couldn’t do. But, I am walking, I could run a little if I wanted. I probably baby it too much. I cannot yet stand on my tiptoe on that foot alone.
My surgeon was excellent and came highly recommended and of course does this all day! lol
