My sister in Houston told her that all Kroger’s is no longer double or triple coupons. Is this true?
Paige » Yes it is true, some areas near Houston, too! You can read the entire policy and more info here : http://wp.me/pGkgR-4Ua
Thanks!

How does you buy one get one free. Example Cereal: Buy one get one. Have a coupon for 1.00 off 2. How do I work it.
And the 2/5 with coupon .50 off 2?
Im just alittle confued on fiquring it out.
Erin: On the cereal if you have Buy One get One Cereal and you have a $1 off 2 – you may or may not be able to use it because if 1 is FREE already – you may or may not be able to use a coupon that is for cents off 2. It will depend on your store.
If you have a Buy One Get One Sale and a $.50 off 1 coupon – you would get one FREE and $.50 off the one that is not FREE.
Does that make sense?

I verified the number from your printable link and yours appear to be good. The news this morning is that someon made a copy of one coupon and was selling it on the internet. Couponing can be so confusing.

I ws wondering can you use a manufacturer coupon it the Rite Aid video coupon?
Thanks,
TJ
Im totally new to couponing i have some, havent been to store yet. Food lion has a sale on creamer 3/5$ i have a coupon for $1 off 2 how do i work that? thanks
April,
Welcome!
When looking at a sale and you see a sale for 4/$5 or 10/$10 or 2/$1, it is important to remember that you don’t HAVE to buy the amount listed unless it states that you do, and normally it doesn’t.
So, in this instance $5 divided by 3 = $1.67, so the creamer is $1.67 each and you can buy any amount you would like.
Now, for the coupon when it says 3/$5 or 10/$10 or 2/$1 you DO HAVE to purchase the amount on the coupon.
So, in this instance for your coupon you have to buy 2. They are $1.67 each, so, 2 of them would be $3.34 and $1/2 would make them $2.34 for 2 or $1.17 each, but, you HAVE to buy 2 because the coupon says to buy 2.
Does that make sense?
Thanks!
Dian
Sort of. Like combining the coupon on top of this store sale wouldn’t make sense unless the coupon was like $1.00 off 1 and I had 3 coupons. So then I would pay like $2.00 instead of $5.00 right?
If you used a $1 off 1coupon on these – since they are $1.67 each, they would end up being $.67 each.
If you just wanted 2 with the $1/2 coupon, they would be $1.17 each. The $1/1 is better, but, $1/2 isn’t bad.
You understand that you don’t have to buy 3 , right? You only have to buy how ever many the coupon says you have to buy.
Does that help?
Dian
Alot more sense thanks so much the 3/5.00 is what the store sale is and i go through about 32 oz bottle irish cream a week between my husband and i. Its the only kind we like so i pobably will buy all 3. Regularly they are 2.98 so i would save alot. I’m so envious of the tv show extreme couponing but I’m a realistic person and just getting started. So again thanks for your help and time love your site.
Hi Dian,
My husband and I have been using coupons for a few years now and have been able to save 20%-30% off our grocery bill. Although I would like to have more savings, unfortunately I have only been using the printable coupons and the peelies. Although recently we have been watching the Extreme Couponing show and my husband is more willing to buy me at least one newspaper a week. Anyway, I have a question, I have several coupons for biscuits .40/3 or .35/3 (different variations.) I realize that I have to buy 3 biscuits but can i use 3 coupons for my 3 items?
Thanks for you help, you seem so down to earth and very approachable.
No, you have to buy 3 and use 1 coupon cause it is for all 3.
Thanks!
Dian
Hey Dian!
Would you happen to know Publix coupon policy? Getting my lists together and not sure if their sale + coupons would be worth going by there. Going back to Walgreens for pt. 2 of my Walgreens shopping. Will let ya know how the entire journey ended after this trip (hint: so far great!). Also, be sure to click that little “follow” button twitter and follow me back, lol (@savethiscountry).
Sherri!
Glad to hear you’re doing so well – can’t wait to find out more!
Publix doesn’t have an official corporate coupon policy as of yet, but, there are rumors they ill be releasing one this month.. So, for now you would be best to contact your local store and find out what their policy is.
Hope That Helps!
Thanks!
Dian
Hi Dian,
I have a dilemma that I was hoping you can help me with, since Walgreens coupon policy does not state all coupon scenarios.
Walgreens has gilette disposable razors B1G1 half off-6.99+3.50=2/10.50
I also had 2 coupons (one coupon per item) 1st cpn B1G1 2nd cpn 4.00 off 2
So I figured the B1G1 cpn would make it 2/3.50 and the 4.00 off 2 would make the grand total Free for 2 gilette razors!!! (But I wasnt sure I could do that)
I tried this combo at my local Walgreens and the cashier was a couponer as well and the transaction went good, I got both for free.
I then tried this same combo at another Walgreens where I was denied this coupon combo as well as some others, but she didnt even try to scan them. I was frustrated.
I guess my question is this. Are you allowed on a B1G1 half off sale to use a B1G1 free coupon as well as a 4.00 off 2 coupon. Or was the cashier at the first Walgreens just being nice since we were both couponers?
Patricia,
I had another person ask me this exact question about this exact scenario! lol It can be confusing.
The mistake comes in when you say:
I also had 2 coupons (one coupon per item) 1st cpn B1G1 2nd cpn 4.00 off 2
The 1st coupon B1G1 is fine it applies to 1 item.
But, the 2nd coupon $4/2 applies to both items the FREE one and the one you paid for, so, you can’t use a coupon to get money off of something you didn’t pay for, does that make sense?
Thanks!
Dian

Avery Note Tabs. I dont want to pay retail for anything so I redeemed 5 internet manufacurer coupons at STAPES. Now I’m hooked. I’ve been hearing and reading a lot on line about not throwing away EXPIRED Coupons. There are quite a few sights selling expired coupons. Can you shed some light on this subject? Do you know of any stores that do honor expired coupons or is this totally false and misleading information. Thank You so very much!
Eraina
Eraina » The only people/place that can use expired coupons are the military: http://www.groceryshopforfree.com/the-military-needs-your-help/
Thanks!

I have a coupon that says ‘redeemable at Dollar General’. I got it out of a smartsource. I am just wondering if this means I can nly use it a DG or can I use it at another store. Thanks so much for your help!
Katie » If it doesn’t say “Redeemable Only At Dollar General” then you may be able to use it anywhere. Check the barcode and make sure it looks like a normal manufacturer’s coupon.
Hope that helps!
Dian
Hello,
I was wondering if there was a place i could sign up to get coupons sent to my home. I don’t have a printer.
So, if there is somewhere i can sign up please give me the details.
Thanks.
Cindy
Cindy » Sometimes there are but not on a regular basis. The newspaper each Sunday is a great resource for coupons!
Thanks!

Hi Dian:
I wasn’t sure if you received my first email, so I am sending a dupe.
I am fairly new to this and I am having trouble organizing myself. Do you have any tips on how to compare the prices in the different circulars? It is very difficult to try to remember or even make lists of store, items and prices.
Thank you in advance.
Priscilla
Priscilla » I do weekly lists of the best prices and coupon match-ups for my area each week and I have several other lists for stores all over the country you can use to make your shopping easier.
Just click on Store Deals at the top of the page and it will take you to the different states and stores that are covered. If you don’t see an area or store you need, please ,et me know and I will do what I can to find it for you!
Hope that helps!
Dian
Question: If you have a Smiths flyer that says 10 yogurts/6.00 with card. Does that mean Walmart won’t honor that price?
Thanks Donna
P.S. I did get the razors. Thanks
Donna » Walmart will honor that. Here’s the part of the policy that says that:
We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*
Competitors’ ads that feature a specific item for a specified price.
Ad images are for general reference only.
Preferred shopping card prices for specific items that are in a printed ad.
You can read the entire policy here
Yay on the razors!!
Hope that helps!

.
Hi, I live in Ventura/Oxnard/Santa Barbara CA and I am having the WORST time finding coupons. I saw that the only store you have for So Cal is Stater Bros, which is NO where near me. I have Vons, Albertsons and Ralphs which I try to avoid because they are SO expensive. I would appreciate any and all help.
Stephanie,
I too live in the area and have been extremely disappointed in the stores around here. Even Vons stopped doing double coupons as of August 1st, 2012. I get my coupons from the news paper, online printables, internet add-ons to my rewards cards, and peelies.
Keep looking… coupons are out there!
Hi Dian,
Quick question. On coupons.com do I have to pay for that site because I can bring up coupons but it instantly comes up with paying for the information. It says sign up for 30 free days. Sorry everyone just new to this stuff.
Thanks
Donna
Donna » No, it’s FREE, they have a new program they are trying to get people to sing up for that’s a pid service – but so far we can’t see anything that’s worth signing up for.
I hope that helps!
Dian
Hi Dian,
Since alot of these price match ups do not pertain to me, what is the easiest way to sit down and price match my stores. Do you have a software that helps you because it takes a long time.
Thanks
Donna » Donna they take a LONG time! lol No there is no software – we go to the store with our sales ads in hand and price match every thing in each one – it takes hours a week! I wish there was software for it, I would LOVE that!

Sorry there’s not better news for you
Dian
Hi Dian,
The price match-ups you post are great. However, they do not pertain to where I live. Is there an easy way or what way do you price match? Do you have a certain software that I can download or how do you do this?
Thanks
Donna
Hi Dian,
Just wanted to ask who you use for clipping Sunday inserts? Who is most cost effective?
Thanks and Have a Great Day
Donna
Donna » My son! lol I buy my newspapers each week. You can check on eBay – I did a video to show you How To Shop For Coupons On eBay, that will help and then I often tell people to check out Coupon DeDe, IF I were going to buy I would probably buy from her she’s been around for years and it reputable.
I hope that helps!
Dian
Dian,
I have a question. I have a coupon that says 3.00 off 2 Nivea lip producuts. I also have another coupon that says 1.00 off 1 Nivea lip product. Today I used the both together at Smiths and each Nivea lip product sells for 2.19 ea. I paid .19 for each Nivea lip product. Is that right? Or should I have only been able to use the (1) 3.00 off coupon for the both products?
Donna
Donna » You should have only used the $3/2 cause it covers 2. If it had been Buy 1 Get 43 off another, then you can use a coupon on the one you HAVE to purchase. But this was essentially a $1.50 each one coupon. In reality, you should have paid $.69 each.
So, you live, you learn!
Dian
Hi Dian,
Just wanted to know if you have had any trouble finding the 2 liter Dr. Pepper 10 product that was in the “All You” magazine last month? The coupon is getting ready to expire and I am not finding it.
Thanks
Donna
Donna » We found it at our local Walmart. Have you looked there?
Dian
