The on-pack coupon for the Chinet plates is a manufacturer’s coupon, so you can’t use another manufacturer coupon, too, unfortunately.

Jennifer, I hadn’t been to the store, yet, thank you for letting us know.

Does Albertsons let you combine store coupons with manufacturer’s coupons? If so, Albertsons in-ad store coupon $0.88 Hamburger Helper when you buy 3. Combine with man coupon for $0.75 off 3, making them $0.63 each.

@Jamie: You can, but not this week with those Q’s! Stinks, huh? there would have been many great deals to come from that! Yoplait for $.19 even! Sorry about that!
Thanks,

Dian,

I just wanted to let you know that my Albertson’s let me pair manuf. coupons with the red store coupons in this week’s ad. I was able to get 10 Yoplait yogurts for $0.19 each, 5 Tony’s pizzas for $0.33 each, 3 boxes of Hamburger Helper for $0.63 each, and 6 Banquet frozen dinners $0.69 each. The coupons didn’t beep and the cashier just kept scanning!
Another deal they have right now that wasn’t in the paper- McCormick grinders 2/$3- used manuf $1/1 coupon plus I had a $0.25 store coupon from the Monopoly game, making it $0.25! ($0.50 if you don’t have the game piece.) I got tons of stuff on sale and used coupons. Total savings: $79.42, oop $44.78! The cashier and bagger were anxious to see the receipt to see how much I saved. I gave the cashier your website and told her to check it out so she could save lots too! Smile

Thanks for all the good tips and info about couponing. You are saving my family TONS of money! Smile

@Chrissi King: Here is an example of a deal that i might write about at Albertson’s or any store:

Kraft Mac & Cheese – Sale $2.99 use $2/1 6/13 S – Final $.99 each

Here’s how to read it:

Kraft Mac & Cheese is on sale for $2.99 I can use a $2 off 1 box of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese found in the Sunday newspaper coupon insert – Smart Source – on June 13

S stands for the Smart Source Sunday Coupon Insert found in the Sunday paper
RP stands for Red Plum Sunday Coupon Insert found in the Sunday paper
GM stands for General Mills Sunday Coupon Insert found in the Sunday paper
PG stands for Proctor & Gamble Sunday Coupon Insert found in the Sunday paper

You would probably get more info easier by either reading my eBook: http://www.groceryshopforfree.com/dians-ebook/
Or watching any of my videos on how to coupon shop – you can see all my videos by going to the top of the page in the menu bar where ti says Dian’s Videos and a list of videos will drop down and you can choose the ones you want to view.

I have to say that our store manager at our Albertsons in Roanoke Texas is Awesome, he let us have the sales add for our coupon meet a day in advance so that we could use it for our weekly meeting. Thank you for having a great Store manager that works with promoting people with coupons. We love the sales that Albertsons promotes.

Hey Dian,
In reference to the add for buy 10 kelloggs cereal or pop tarts or keebler products for $30 and get $10 off instantly and $10 off your next purchase, do you know if there is a limit on how many times you can do this deal? Also, you can use that deal and p&g deal and get $20 off your next purchase right? I dont live near an Albertson’s but when I was traveling last week I saw one in another town about 25 miles away. I dont mind making the trip to stockpile so I want to make sure I know the rules before I make the drive. Thanks! -Sarah

One more question…I noticed in the box for the P&G add (buy $40 get $10 off instantly) its said “Shopping basket must be $10 more than total price of participating products” So I assume it is saying you must spend $50 ($40 in participating products and $10 in anything else). Do you know if this is the case for the cereal offer as well? If it is not the case for the cereal offer, could I use the $30 in cereal as the other $10 in products?

Reply

18 Dian July 28, 2010 at 6:03 pm

@Sarah: I didn’t notice that! Now, I understand why it said “Redemption Excludes P&G Products” the $10 cannot be P&G related products! lol
So, you have to buy $40 in P&G and $10 in non- P&G to qualify…weird!

They shouldn’t be related deals. So, I would say yes, but ymmv, so again, let us know how it goes for you! I am sure no one is going to stop it from going through and the register probably won’t either, I would say you’re probably going to be safe doing that! I would be shocked if there were an issue with it, unless you get a hyper zealous cashier! Smile

@Sarah: The P&G deal is $10 off instantly not get $10 oyno.
There is no limit listed on the ad for the Kellogg’s deal and how many times you can do it. So, I just called my local store – clueless… lol they said basically they don’t know how many you can per trans, you just have to try it and see!
Let me know what you find out and send in a pic with your trip and let us know how it went!
Thanks!

Hey Dian,
I made the trip to Albertsons. I did ok but could have done better. I bought the kelloggs/keebler deal twice and the P&G deal twice. I did four separate transactions. The first was the kelloggs/keebler deal. I bought 10 for $30, got $10 off and $10 catalina. My total was $20. Then I bought the deal again and used the catalina and my total was $10. Then I bought P&G products, got $10 off instantly and used the $10 catalina and my total as $29.39. My last transactions was P&G products as well and I got $10 off instantly and spent $52.43. Overall I spent $111.82 and saved $119.83.

Some of the mistakes I made was that I didnt go to shopping at a good time. Like I said earlier, the store is about 30 minutes away and I made the trip today since I had to go to the neighboring town so I was already halfway there. I took my kids (1 and 2.5) and it interfered with their nap times so they were fussy. The two yr old had to go to the bathroom twice and still peed in his pants, the 1 yr old peed thru her diaper, they dumped their snacks on the floor, they threw things out of the basket, they pulled signs off that were hung in the check out line, and somehow I cut myself b/c i had blood running down my leg. So it was brutal. haha. Needless to say, I was in a hurry to leave and I think the employees were anxious for us to leave as well. I should have taken something to write with to keep track of the prices. I was trying to make it to where I had 2 $40 P&G transactions but I lost track of how much I was spending and went way over. It was kind of confusing b/c I had some P&G coupon books I got in the Pampers diaper boxes a while back. But not everything I had a coupon for counted towards the $40, it was select items only. I tried to make a list of what I was going to get buy before I arrived but I didnt know what qualified until I got there. I bought Cascade when it was not on sale and I didnt have a coupon b/c I thought I hadnt reached my $40 limit but I had. I bought 2 packs of diapers, a 64 ct and a 46 ct both for $18.99. I should have bought two 64 ct for $18.99. I bought Pampers wipes b/c I had a $2 coupon if you buy diapers and wipes but the wipes were $7.99 so I got them for $5.99. I could have gotten wipes at Walmart for $5.98, and $3.98 after using the $2 coupon. I thought the Pepto Bismol I picked up was 50 cents off but I was charged full price. One of my VaporRubs got put on the wrong transaction so I got charged full price for it b/c I didnt give the cashier the coupon. I gave it to her on the next transaction and it beeped b/c I didnt purchase a VaporRub on that transaction. The only other thing is that I didnt have coupons for anything other than P&G products. I just started couponing so I havent stocked up from the past.

They did give me $10 off my purchase even though I didnt now spend $10 over $40 in non P&G products. Here are some of the deals I got:
Pampers 64 ct. Reg. $25.49 Sale $18.99 ($2 Q when you buy wipes) Final $16.99
Pampers 46 ct. $18.99 $1 Q Final $17.99
2 Venus Razors Reg. $9.79 each Sale $7.34 each $2 Qs Final $5.34 each
Vicks VapoSteam Reg. $6.49 Sale $3.24 $1 Q Final $2.24
Vicks VapoRub $5.79 $1 Q FInal $4.79
Duracell Batteries Reg. $7.79 Sale $5.99 $1 Q Final $4.99
2 pks of Duracell Batteries Reg. $4.79 each Sale $3.50 $1 Qs Final $2.50 each
Dreft $9.99 $1 Q Final $8.99
Tide Liquid Detergent Reg. $8.79 Sale $5.99 $1 Q Final $4.99
Tide Stain Release Reg. $4.29 Sale $3.19 $1 Q Final $2.19
Pepto Bismol $4.99 $1 Q Final $3.99 (this is the one I thought was on sale)
NyQuil Reg. $7.99 Sale $3.99 $1 Q Final $2.99

I have made some progress. I am finally matching coupons up with sales. But I still have a lot of improvement to make to maximize my savings. I love that I saved a ton of money but I also spent a lot as well. Thanks for all of you encouragement.
-Sarah
P.S. How do you send a pic? Is there another place to send the write up to instead of in the comment section?

@Sarah: Somehow I missed this yesterday – sorry! WOW! You did great and with ALOT going on, too!! Send a pic to my email Dian@groceryshopforfree.com I can use this write up unless you want to me to add something else.

Also, I know you had your hands full – but, know that you can take your ‘mistakes” to customer service when you are done and they will fix them – like the Pepto thing – they can take your coupon and give you the refund. Just keep that stuff in mind and you can do all your stuff at the register and then fix any problems at customer service when you’re done! You are going to be a pro before long! What a great trip you had!!
Cant wait to see the pic!
Thanks!
