Betty Crocker potato pouches are 3/$2. With the $0.40/1 printable they are free after doubling. I got 2 last week this way and printed 2 more coupons for this week!
Great Jamie!
Thanks!
Dian
What does Kroger double up to? I have some coupons on my card I want to use. Also I am not sure what other stores around me double. I live in SC. Thank you.
Dorothy,
It’s different everywhere, you need to check with your stores. Mine doubles up to and including $.50 and triples up to and including $.39, but some areas of the country they will double up to $1. But, Cellfire and downloaded coupons on a card generally do not double or triple.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks,
Dian
Here in VA they don’t triple, but they double up to $.99. Now, I have a question: if the coupon says “Do not double”, does that mean that I cannot stack this coupon or that the store cannot double its value?
Thanks,
Isabela
@Isabela: That means that the store cannot double the value. It has nothing to do with stacking.
Thanks!
Dian
I’ve had a lot of coupons that say that – I usually self-checkout (that way I dn’t have a ton of people behind me….getting mad at my coupons, etc – and i don’t feel so bad if I need to do multiple transactions), and they (coupons that say DND) almost always double, it’s automatic from waht I see…hmmm!
what do u mean buy u doulble up.? I thought u could only use 1 coupon per customer/visit, right?
(about thebetty crocker poptapes above)
thanlk yuou
Jessica,
The stores near me double coupons, so if I take in a $.40 off coupon the store will double that and make it an $.80 off coupon. So, it is 1 coupon, but they double it to make it worth twice or double as much.
Let me know if that makes sense and if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Dian
Dian, I see on your Kroger deals you often list a Crazy Meal deal where you buy some product and get the rest of it for free, how exactly are you doing that? I don’t see any coupons or deal directions listed?
Thanks,
Sandra
Crazy Meal Deal
Buy:
1 Kroger Marinated Fajitas Beef or Chicken 2 lb Pkg
Get:
Dole Shredded Lettuce 8 oz
Crush Soda 2 Liter Selected Varieties
Calidad Tortilla Chips 14 oz Bag
Mi Casa Flour Tortillas 10 ct Pkg
Kroger Potato Salad 1 lb Pkg Located in the Deli
@Sandra Young: It is in the sales flyer. Usually when you go into the store they have it all together in one location for your to grab it all. You don’t need a coupon, sometimes there are manufacturer coupons that match some of the items. When there are I will show those. But, to get the deal if you store is participating you don’t need a coupon.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks!
Dian
I have never noticed in the Kroger ad here and have not seen in stores. I wonder if it is regional? I will be on the look-out. I am suprised how many “deals” I have overlooked!
Judy,
Did you find out if it was available at your store?
Thanks,
Dian
I do Kroger coupon matchups for the Delta Region, and I’ve never seen that in our ad. I looked up a few other regions ads, and it looks like 1 or 2 regions do a crazy meal deal.
I’m just pumped because my Kroger thats in my small town is getting a gas station finally!
@Simply Sarah: Delta? Does that cover Ga? I need a list that covers Ga. I have a reader asking for one. Congrats on the gas station, I LOVE saving money on gas at Kroger!
Thanks,
Dian
$1 off 1 box of wheat thins if you like them on facebook. If you use this they are only $.88 at Kroger.

@ryanck0: Great! Thanks for letting us know that sounds great!
Dian
Dian – You can just delete my comment – never mind saving anybody a penny or two.
Just shopped there this morning, the Lean Cuisine are $1.88 thru 6/22 according to the price tag, and the Scotch Brite sponges are $1 – but if you email me at madamaxbv@yahoo.com I can get you a PDF coupon of $1/1 any Scotch Brite to score some FREE sponges. Coupon expires 6/30 and it’s been saved from their website a while back, I got 10 sponges this morning using the coupon.
Forgot to mention this: Gillette Men Bodywashes 12oz are B1G1 Free, and coupled with B1G1 Free coupon from PG 6/6 would score 2 free
Wonder what that meant?
@Susan Merritt: She’s a faithful reader and some people misunderstood an offer she made and it hurt her feelings.

I am needing to know if you have a place for me to go to for HEB info. Im a military wife and we have two homes(son is a senior & we got orders), so every other week im in florida, then in Beaumont. I have just started with coupon chix for the local stores in florida. I just cant find anyone for Beaumont for HEB.
@paige: I am working on getting one – but that doesn’t help you right now, so:
http://www.mysouthcentraltexasmommy.com/2010/08/heb-coupon-match-up-from-815-ss-insert.html
Looks like this will work for you!
I will find one – so don’t forget about me! Let me know if it doesn’t work for you.
Thanks and good luck!
Dian
Can someone please tell me what is going on with kroger and coupons? Now they will not let me stack paper coupons on top of my loaded coupons!!! Anyone know what is going on?
Thanks
@Laurie: You were never supposed to be able to do that. Now they have made changes to the registers and how they handle coupons.
The rule has always been that you can stack a manufacturer’s coupon with a store coupon, but not electronic coupons. So, the registers at some stores were allowing you to stack them, but, now with the changes you can’t.
BUT, being able to double or triple an unlimited (within reason) amount of coupons per like item is the new change that makes me happy. I would rather have that than stacking with electronic coupons. But, I get the frustration of being able to do something and then the rules change. In this case the rules didn’t change the register got programmed to follow that particular rule.
Sorry, I know it can be frustrating!
Thanks!
Dian
Do you know anyone who covers the Lake Charles, LA area? I just ordered a bunch of coupons and NOTHING matches your deals. I hope I wasn’t using an ad that area is getting!
@Lindsey: My store sales ad that I use for the match-ups covers TX and LA. I just checked the sales ad for your area and it’s the same as the one I do the match-ups for. What deals did you want to do?
Thanks,
Dian
I’M IN LAKE CHARLES TOO!! I’ve been looking for fellow couponers! that’s kind of exciting to see. lol
Your link to print the Hungry Man Dinners does not work. It takes you to some weird HngryGhengis facebook page. Could not find any coupon there just some sweepstakes.
Just wanted to let you know.
@Peggy: Apparently they removed the coupon, sorry
Thanks!
Dian
Krogers will not let us stack cell-fire coupons with paper coupons. So I’m kinda lost at some of the finial cost on the weekly sales ad you have for krogers.
@Laurie: Laurie, a Kroger ecoupon isn’t a Cellfire coupon. It is a Kroger coupon from the Kroger website and can be stacked with a manufacturers coupon – at least at my store they will. Kroger does have a coupon policy but, it is very much up to the manager’s discretion what they will and won’t do. So, very often different stores, even int he same area, will do things differently.
I just asked several people in different areas of the country with Kroger stores and Kroger affiliated stores. Many said they cannot stack them and others say their stores will allow it. So, it will be up to your store.
I hope this helps.
Thanks!
DIan
Hi, I think I am confused, I know you are very busy, but can you take a minute to explain what you mean by they “will no longer be taking IP Q’s”. If I have a $1 off Q for say a box of pasta, and the pasta is on sale for $1. They will not take the Q, or even a $.80 or $.90 Q will not be accepted?
Thanks so much!
@Christine: No, IP means Internet Printed Coupons. Check here whenever you aren’t sure what a certain abbreviation means: http://www.groceryshopforfree.com/coupon-lingo/
So, what this means is:
My Kroger will no longer be taking IP Q’s:
That are for FREE products – such as “FREE Tide” or “FREE Coke”
That are for more than 75% of the value of the product – such as “If you buy a product for $1 and you have a printed coupon for $.80 – $.90 off, we won’t take it.”
That won’t scan
I hope that helps, feel free to ask me anything, anytime!
Thanks!
Dian
on your kroger deals 10/10.00 there is a coupon in the smart source 1/23/2011 for $.60 cents /3 cans..just fyi
2/9-2/15 sale…..My Kroger, (TX) didn’t have Barilla Plus included in the 10/$10…bummer
@Cindy: Did you check your sale paper maybe they just didn’t have the tag on it.
Thanks,
Dian
I have a save $1.00 when you buy 3 of the Zatarain’s rice mix coupon from the paper, can I still use the save .50 on 2 (internet mq that you provided above) on the same 3 boxes or do i have to get 2 more boxes to make that work?
@Lara: You would have to purchase 5 boxes to use both coupons. Since you can’t stack them because they are both manufacturer coupons.
Thanks!
Dian
Thanks for the fast reply! I’m not understanding how the final price is .50?
@Lara: Well that price is based on using the $.50/2 which will double and be $1/2 – so, if you buy 2 for $1 each = $2 – the doubled $.50/2 = $1/2 for a final of 2 for $1 or $.50 each.
Does that make sense now?
Thanks!
Dian
Yes it does, I was doing the math with the other coupon $1 off 3. Thank you so much for all you do. I am fairly new to couponing and your site has helped me so much!
@Lara: No problem, I love to help – been sick for a few days and am recovering now – so trying to keep my thinking less fuzzy! lol
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks!
Dian

your welcome
I am just so unbelivably confussed. I have been doing coupons for so long then stopped now it seems I am having no luck at matching coupons or saving anything at all. do I have to have a printer to safe like really safe? Do I have to order multiple coupons from a clipping service? how many papers should I be buying weekly in order to get the most out of the deals? (I’ve been buying two and never seems to be enough) where do I begin? I don’t wana safe 40-50% I really wanna safe much more but it seems like im missing something now days. Totally confussed. oh and also the stores never seem to have any of the free items in stock but I notice ppl in there pictures buying 15 and more is the fact a select fewppl are stock piling in my area the reason others are not able to get the deal? It seems like when you buy mass quanities it makes it unfair to others wanting to buy what we need for our familys.
Christi,
I understand your complaint about not being able to find products in your stores.
Sometimes it is because people buy an over abundance or clear the shelves, sometimes it’s because the store under stocked. I don’t clear shelves when I shop, I encourage others not to either.
You can always get a rain check for an item if it is gone.
As far as deal matching goes – what stores are you looking for, if you check out the Penny Pinching Bargain Bunch – they have the deals for you each week so you don’t have to: http://www.groceryshopforfree.com/penny-pinching-bargain-bunch/
As far as how many papers to buy or whether you should buy coupons from a clipping service, that all depends on your need.
Sometimes we buy coupons because we didn’t get a particular coupon we needed or wanted. I buy multiple papers each week (10) – that helps me stockpile and to donate to the local shelters in my area.
I hope I covered all of your questions, if not or if you have any more please let me know!
Thanks!
Dian
christi, i feel your pain. i get very frustrated when i look for items that are listed as sales and then nothing is there. i really don’t approve of people stockpiling, get a few items and then let other people enjoy the savings as well. dian, question when you make a shopping list like for WalMart…are those sale items for this area? because a few of the items you listed at certain prices were not that price…Celestial Teas…nothing under 1.92. you state they were on sale for 1.10? could you tell me where you found them at that price, i drink tea alot and that is a great deal. No Spic n Span, no Exedrin PM, no Challenge Butter, no gas x, …last week i finally found the Theraflu Sample packs and I promise they did not hang them up until the sale was almost over. I think they get wind of a money make and they hide the stuff until the end of the week…found a bunch of them at the CVS on Abrams and also some on Randol Mill. Just happened on them wasn’t even looking for them. I feel like I spend so much time printing the list, getting the coupons together and then get to the stores and either the price isn’t what I was expecting or they are just out of it. Walgrens, I still have not found the REACH toothbrushes…really frustrated. But christi you can save alot once you do find the items, it’s just finding them that seems to be the problem.
Linda,
WalMart stores across the street from each other will have different prices. Even from the 5-6 around me they are all priced differently. I don’t do lists for this area, my lists are meant to be a guide for all my readers. I have readers from all over the country.
If you make a price book: http://www.groceryshopforfree.com/dians-videos-2/price-book-sheet-tutorial/
It makes it easier for you to know if your store will have it at that price or what is a good price for an item at your store.
When I went to get the Reach toothbrushes on Sunday afternoon there were plenty – you pretty much have to do your drug store shopping on Sundays… they never order enough stock.
I may be a Pollyanna but I don’t believe WalMart hides stuff until after the sale.
Hope that helps!
Dian
Walmarts are shady as well. 7 Walmarts around Plano and every single one of them had the $1.97 price tag for the Dial Nutriskin lotion 3 0z size. For 5 weeks they kept them empty, the day the coupon expired every store i went to was stocked up, i tried to use the coupons but unfortunately they weren’t the “work a few days after expiration” coupons, so I got f’d out of 40 lotions because Walmart are a bunch of shady jackholes.
I got Philidelphia Cooking Cream for .49 each. They were on sale for 2.99, .50 off for using my Kroger card, if you mixed and matched 10 items you get an extra .50 off, THEN there were tear pads with 1.50 coupon. I stocked up on them!
Awesome! That’s a great deal!
Thanks!
Dian
With the Ivory and Safeguard deal, the coupons I have are $1 off wyb Olay bodywash. Did you buy the Olay when you got your soaps for free at Kroger?
ryan » My coupons didn’t require any other purchase. P&G is issuing huge variations in coupons and areas lately.
This week, too, maybe you’ll get a better set than me tomorrow
Thanks!
Dian
Ok, that’s what I was wondering. I am in Houston where my Kroger stopped all doubling/tripling! Grrr…..Anyway, I do have $2 off Olay bodywash coupons so I will run over there and check out the deal anyway. Thanks!!
ryan » Oh nice! Sounds like you could do some damage with those!
Let us know what you came up with!
Thanks!
Dian
does anyone know where i can get a free list of everything in the store
Hi Dian,
Just wanted to say that I LOVE your site and I tell everyone I meet about it. My question concerns the Greek oikos yogurts, I keep getting a different amount of savings so I just wanted to know just how you were able to get them for free and how did you apply your coupons to them and how many i would need to purchase?
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks so much!
Angie
Angie » Thanks so much for the kind words!
Well on the Oikos:
Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt Sale $1.25
- FREE Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt Parade 8/14
$0.50/2 Dannon Oikos or Stonyfield Oikos Organic 5.3 oz cups 08/21/11 SS Insert (exp 09/18/11)
$1/3 Dannon Oikos or Stoneyfield Oikos Organic Yogurt Cups, 5.3 oz 08/21/11 SS Insert (exp 09/18/11)
Final: FREE
The first coupon is just FREE it was in the Parade Magazine and it was just for a FREE Oikos. The others wouldn’t make it FREE, but I try to list all the coupons you can use on it in case you don’t get one or another of them. So many times coupons are regional and not everyone gets the same ones. So, I try to list all there are for an item.
Hope that helps!
Dian
Dian,
Thanks so much for listing that out, I see what it was that I was missing.
Thanks again!
Angie » You’re very welcome!

they are $1.99 WYB 4 and there is a MQ for $3/1 making
Can someone tell me some good sites for printable coupons on drinks like: pop, gat0rade, powerade, and juices
Betsy » Those are hard coupons to come by for sure. The best place to find those are on their Facebook pages or their websites. When I see them, I post them, but, they are definitely rare.
Dian
At the kroger here in College Station they have a peelie for the stove top stuffing so when you buy four you get the fifth free.
Angie » Great tip!
Thanks!
Dian
I didn’t find any speed stick coupon in ss 1/1/12…and they weren’t on list the I printed off of Sunday coupon inserts. ?
carrie » Yeah it was a regional coupon – I didn’t get it either
Dian
If anyone missed out on Up2U gum at CVS a couple weeks ago….I did, my CVS was sold out fast….then Kroger has them on sale for $1 so with your $1/1 coupon they are free!! Thanks for all your great deals Dian!
Hey…and try and delete some of the old comments….it takes FOREVER for me to load any of your pages on your blog.

Hello,
Just looked at the in-store coupons at the Kroger in my area. At the bottom of the coupon page, it states, “Digital offers…cannot be combined with manufacturer paper coupons on the purchase of a single item.” So I guess they are “cracking down” on the stacking strategy?
s anderson
s anderson » Kroger’s Policy has always been to not stack digital coupons with paper. They also don’t double or triple digital coupons. But, if they have a paper coupon or one that comes in the mail from Kroger, generally you can stack those with Sunday paper insert coupon.
Some stores did allow stacking of digital coupons with paper, however the corporate policy has always been to not stack them.
I it would be nice if you could stack them especially since, in my area they no longer double or triple any coupons.
Thanks!
