Check out all the store match-ups from

Make sure to use the resources page to print pages for your Price Book and/or your Grocery Coupon Shopping List!

These are what I consider the best deals, this is not meant to be a complete listing of all sales and coupon deals in the store.  My Tom Thumb doubles up to and including $.50 and triples up to and including $.39, but they will only double or triple the first coupon (say you have 2 coupons, exact same coupons – they double or triple the first and do the next one for face value).  So, in order to get them to double and triple all of them, I may check out more than once.

Dian do you know if that $10 comes off at the register? It sounds like it does and that makes that deal all the sweeter. Red Baron, Sale 2/$5 use $1/2 2/28 S – Final $2 each buy 2
Purchase 10 for $25 before coupons. Use the coupons you mentioned and get $5 off then have the $10 come off and pay $10 so its like paying $1 a box! My kiddos are gonna love this for those nights when mama AINT cooking lol!

Tamona,
I haven’t gotten my ad yet, I am looking at the online ad and there is nothing in there about it. It is on the home page only unless I just missed it in the ad.

I did this paid $17.50 oop and got back the $10 coupon,, is it me or did anyone else notice that the $10 coupon is only good for FROZEN food purchase? WHAT? I was disappointed, because on the ad it said that I would get $10 off your next shopping trip.. and that was what I expected, anyhow the next day I went in and got some apples, grapes, etc, and used the $10 coupon it went thru fine.
so i went and got more REd Baron pizza, did the same thing, got back $10 saved it til today. I went today and got some cereal, fruit snacks, and eggs, the coupon WILL not go thru, my cashier scanned it, it wouldn’t scan, she punch in the numbers it wouldn’t go,, so she read it to me Frown, ,,,,um hum,, Frozen food, we went back and forth, I showed her the ad and she informed me that “I” need to read the fine print,, its off frozen food.,, UGH! I mean its not hard to buy $10 off frozen food, but I felt ,, you know,, I seriously thought that I would have a coupon for $10 off your next purchase,, anyhow , has anyone had a problem with this?

Van,
I haven’t done the deal, but, when I called to ask about which products were included they didn’t mention that and I have not heard anyone else say it.

Dian, Thanks for responding. In order to get the $10 coupon you must buy $25 of the participating frozen food.. the thing is getting this $10 wasn’t suppose to limit me only to buying frozen good again.. I wrote them last night,, let me know when you find something out.. THANKS .. Smile

Got an email back from Tom Thumb today, it reads:
We apologize for the inconvenience this promotion has caused you. We also apologize for the inconsistent service you received while attempting to redeem your coupon.

In order for your coupon to activate, you must spend at least $10.00 and your Rewards Card must be scanned at Point of Sale. Frozen food is not required. The message stating that it is, was printed in error. Please provide us with your Reward’s Card number so that we may better identify the exact cause of your issue.

good, hopefully no one else out there is having a problem with this.

Van,
Awesome! Good job! We all need to be reminded sometimes that we can go over the cashier’s head AND that sometimes it’s not their fault, they are just the messenger! I know I tend to be quick to be “not happy” with the cashier and I quickly remind myself, they are just trying to do their job.
Thanks for letting us know!

Just wanted to share about my trip to Tom Thumb tonight. I’m new to couponing and your site has helped me start stocking up and saving lots! By doing 3 separate transactions, I was able to get 10 boxes of fruit snacks, 4 boxes of Fruity Pebbles, 1 box of Post Raisin Bran, and 2 packs of Dentyne gum for a total out of pocket of just over $8 with coupons and rolling my catalinas. Then I also walked away with a $4 catalina and a raincheck for 5 more boxes of Fruity Pebbles for $1.50 each (which I still have coupons for). I would have spent $2 less, but I accidentally picked up 2 boxes of Kellogg’s fruit snacks on my first transaction so I only got a $1.50 catalina that time. I used that and a $0.50 coupon to get the next 5 boxes of fruit snacks for $2.88, received a $3.50 catalina, then used that plus coupons to get the 5 boxes of cereal and 2 packs of gum for $1.36, which then generated another $4 catalina. I’m sure someone else could have done it somehow for less, but I am pretty proud, so I wanted to say “thank you!”

Is this a grocery store. The Tom Thumb in our area is a gas station with product inside. Not like a large grocery store. Is this the same?

16 Dian May 27, 2010 at 9:05 am

@Maxine: Yes, here in our area it is a grocery store.

if you buy the Fusion proglide razor (you can use the $4 coupon from P&G on 6/6, you get a coupon back at the register for $5 that you can use on your next purchase at Tom Thum. Enjoy!

The coupon for the free softsoap will not work, it is for 8.5 oz or larger and the soap on sale for $1 is only 7.5 oz.

Arika,
You are right, thanks! I didn’t notice that. I knew they had a larger size, I am just shocked that they have a 1 oz lager size!
Thanks,
Dian
