These are what I consider the best deals, this is not meant to be a complete listing of all sales and coupon deals in the store.
Final prices on a lot of the drug store deals are dependent on their rewards, ie: Register Rewards or Extra Care Bucks – Final prices reflect the price AFTER you consider the “reward” you receive.
Such as: If an item is $3 and it has a $3 “Reward” for purchasing it, I show it as FREE, however, that “Reward” cannot be used on that order, but, may be used on a future order – so keep that in mind when making your list. Your out of pocket will reflect a different amount if “rewards” are involved.

Just got back from Walgreens – they have signs up for the Bayer Heart pills that the advertisement is wrong and that the $3 off is only for the 40+ count bottles. Also, the coupon for Reynolds Aluminum Foil says 20 ft, however, they only carry Reynolds in 25 feet – the manager confirmed and the coupon did work with Reynolds 25 feet for 89 cents.
Some other posts mentioned foil for 3 for $1 – I don’t see a coupon for that anywhere

Just wanted you to know that I went to walgreens and the manager let me get the 2.99 Bayer with the 3.00 off coupon. He did say it was a mis-print.

Huggies Pull-ups are on sale for $8.99. Walgreen’s April coupon book has a $2 off coupon. Combine with $2.00 manufacturer coupon to get them for $4.99 a pack. We have a potty trainer in our home, so we’re stocking up at that price!

How is it possible to use a coupon from the April coupon book since this is June? I’ve never heard of that. Can you help explain?
@Toni: Which coupon are you referring to, was it the one for the Gillette?
If so, that coupon was in a coupon insert that came in the Sunday paper on the week listed. The expiration dates for the coupons in the Sunday paper insert are all different. They last longer than just that month.

I’m very sorry to bother you, Dian, but I’m confused again. I saw this deal:
Bic Hybrid Advance Disposable Razors – Sale $4.99 use $3/1 4/18 S & $1/1 Walgreens April Coupon Booklet – Final $.99 each
And I went back to check the Walgreens booklet. The coupons in there say “Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens”. So are we really allowed to combine these coupons with other manufacturer coupons? Same question applies to Target. In their website they offer both manufacturer coupons and store coupons. I can see myself combining the Target coupons with other coupons I have. But what about the “manufacturer coupon reedemable at Target”?

@Isabela: If it is definitely a manufacturer coupon you should not be able to stack it with another manu Q. Normally the Q’s in Walgreens booklets are exclusive to Walgreens, so they aren’t manu Q’s. The only way I would know is if I tried it and the register did or did not let it pass. But, in the case of the the Target printables, I haven’t tried, so I would try it and see. The registers are set to beep if they can’t take it, that’s how we know.

I stack the Target.com coupons with MFR coupons all the time.
Publix (if near you) accepts Target coupons too. I have stacked a publix, target, and MFR on an item before!

There is a rebate for up to $2.99 on specially marked Sure for Women deodorant (with the “Try Me Free ” sticker — which has to be attached to the rebate form). http://www.trysurefree.com . This creates a money maker on the current Walgreens deal! The original cash register receipt (dated between 2/1/10 and 11/15/10) is required so plan accordingly.

Last week I stacked a mfg coupon (Raid Barrier spray) with a coupon from the Walgreens May booklet. The purchase went through just fine. The month before I stacked April booklet coupons for vitamins and cough drops with a mfg coupons and again had no problems. If fact, I can’t recall a time when I didn’t combine a mfg coupon with their booklet coupons. I hope this helps.

I’ve asked this on a couple of boards with no response. Please help me figure this out! I have a Walgreens in the area and nothing else that is listed for deals. My walgrees is NOT coupon friendly so I have to know my facts. I want to know if I can use their store coupons (in the sales circulars) + a coupon that has say Target logo on it but it says manufactuor coupon on it also.
@Maxine: Yes, you can use a Walgreens coupon with a manufacturer coupon. The cashier may balk because of the Target logo, just let them know it is a manufacturer’s coupon. Sometimes it is much easier to check out at the beauty counter if your store has one. They seem to be more coupon friendly.

I’m very new to this. I have been lining my deals up to show my husband at night. We get the biggest laugh out of my oddest of assortments that I’m getting close to free. I say close because I’m having to pay tax and that does add up.
@Maxine: It definitely adds up! But, the cost of the product, PLUS the tax REALLY adds up!
You just keep at it and you’ll be a pro before you know it!

what is mean by RR?
@reka: RR means Register Reward, it is “coupon” that prints after your transaction is over that you can use on your next purchase. It is like Walgreens cash – you can use it to pay for anything in the store.

where we have to ask that rr?
@reka: You’re welcome. It is what is called a Catalina that prints out on a small machine next to the register.
Like sometimes when you go to the grocery store they hand you a “coupon” with your receipt? That’s a “Catalina”, that machine that prints them is called a Catalina machine. When you do the deal that has an RR attached to it, the Catalina will print automatically at the register and they will give it to you with your receipt! So, all you have to do is purchase the right items and they will give you your Register Reward.
Now, sometimes they don’t print – if that happens ask the cashier – one of 2 things has usually happened:
1. You may have bought the wrong item or size or something.
2. The machine is out of paper and they just need to re-load it.
So, if it doesn’t print, always ask so they can tell you why!

I don’t think i’ve seen this on your site, but I found another great money maker for those around a Safeway affiliate. The May Safeway coupon book has a $1.50 coupon for any Neutrogena product except cosmetics and trial sizes. I happened to have 2 of them so I bought 3 of the single Neutrogena bar soaps for $2.69 totaling $8.81 with tax. Then deducted my $3 in coupons for $$5.81 and received a $10 RR! Whooo Hoooo!
is anybody out there looked at in a “funny’ way by cashiers at the stores when you try to use coupons? i am new to couponing but the riteaid in my neigborhood has a security girl in the store all the time and as soon as i enter the store she starts to follow me and when i am using the coupons during payment she stays there until i am done has anyone experience something like this before i am very discouraged and feel like i should forget about this whole couponing thing
@angela: That is terribly rude! So sorry that is happening to you! I have never heard of that before. I wouldn’t give up on couponing though! Don’t let a creepy security guard steal the blessing of using coupons from you! You will save tons of money, 1 security guard is not worth losing all the money you will save. What area do you live in?

We have a coupon club and meet every Wed. at my house. I try to show them everything I learn from your website. Anyway, Today one of the ladys in our group went to Walgreens in Grapevine Texas. She had a purchase of $8. and some cents (not sure the exact) and the register would not take her $5.00 RR. She had made sure she did everything right with her coupons, (and everything was right) but the lady that ran her up was very rude and said she would not take the RR. Well while she was telling my friend she would not take it another employee heard her and got on the PA and announced, if the register won’t ring it, we’re not taking it!! Now there was she said at least 7 people behind her in line. So my freind ask for a manager, he came and looked at her purchased and turned to the lady that was ringing her up and said, you rang it up wrong. So to make a long story short, the RR worked after all but no one said I’m sorry or anything to my freind. I have had the very same problem at this store over the RR but never has anyone ever got on the PA like that.
Just wanted people to know about this store.

@Laurie: I feel so bad that this has happened. It is NOT right to treat ANY customer like – coupon shopper or not! You have to know that people are rude – it may have nothing to do with your friend at all they could have had a bad day, or could have been raised wrong! But that doesn’t matter, they need to be corrected when things like this happen! Let me know if I can do anything to help.

What happened to your friend was shockingly (well, these days, not so much) inappropriate. That no one–not even the manager–offered her an apology is disgusting. Your friend should write the corporate headquarters and report the incident.

Here is my “newbie-ness”. Where do the I find the IVC’s that you speak of. Specifically the U by Kotex one that you mentioned in the deal scenario for the weeks Walgreens ad?
@Jennifer: No problem – they are found in the sales flyer. They usually have one at the register and they use it to scan your stuff so you don’t have to cut it out of the paper – normally. Just grab a sales paper when you get to the store and use it when you check out.

I bought Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths on sale for 2/$8 with a $2 RR.
It also happens to be a Buy One Get One 1/2 off. So, you they ring up for 2/$6 with a $2 RR. Use 2, $2/1 coupons from the 8/29 P&G, and you can get them for $2 with a $2 RR…free!!!
These coupons expire 9/30, so you have to hurry!

hi dian me again ,,please let everyone know i am packaging coupons inserts in a flat rate box for 15.00 a packed box full i just cant throw them out when others can use them
Ok at Walgren’s they have their Valentines M&M’s (Peanut and Regular) on sale for 2/$5.00. Their Party Playbook Coupon Book (which is right by their normal weekly sale papers), there are two different $1/2 coupons, one on page 2 (bonus size M&M’s 12 to 14 oz) and on page 11 (flip the book) a coupon for $1/2 M&M’s 9.9 to 12.6 oz. The second coupon is the one they say is for the Valentines M&M’s, they will not give the discount if you use the coupon on Page 2 which is for the Bonus Size) VERY CONFUSING, but the Store Manager explained it to me. Then you use your $1/2 Manufacturer Coupon
that was available earlier in the week which brings your cost down to $3/2 bags savings of $3.00…which actually your getting 1 bag free!!! They also have their Lays/Doritos on sale 2/$4.00 and with the coupon in their Party Play Book page 5, $1/2 which brings it to 2/$3.00…just an fyi..

I am new to walgreens and other drug store deals. If you get a number of items with varying priced RR do they print as one total? If they print separately are you able to combine them. For instance if I had a $4 RR and a $1 RR could I combine them to pay for $5 worth of items?

ok, went to Walgreens today and of course all the Air Wick b1g1 Freshmatics were cleared out (7.99 ones) didn’t want to spend any money so i didn’t want to get the ones for $14.99 ( the Freshmatic Ultras). So there was an Air Wick box with two refills and a warmer, there were only two left and i thought hmmm maybe this would work on the b1g1 deal at the store. So i took it up there and it allowed me to use 2 $4.00 off coupons (they were 7.99 as well each) so i got both boxes for FREE! another fyi, at Target they have a package of 3 Renuzit Adjustable Fresheners packaged together for $1.28, with your coupons for $.55/3 and I had 2 coupons..saved $1.10 (cause I bought 2 pkgs of 3 = 6) and since I have saved so much money at Walgreens and CVS this week on Suave products, i went ahead and bought another package of 3…so $1.28 x 3 = 3.84-$1.10 coupon=$2.74/9= $.30 cents each. If you have more coupons you can really get a great deal on these, but the fragrances are kinda limited.

Question: Should Walgreens in Houston charge Houston sales tax on ALMONDS?
I understood that all FOOD items were exempt from Houston sales tax, which is 8.25%.

the GUM Eez-Thru Flossers are great…they do slide in much easier because they use a wax on the floss and it’s good for people with tightly packed teeth. I’ve been using them for years and highly recommend it. Thanx for the deal heads up btw!

I went to Walgreens at about 8 pm on 5/21. I knew they were out of the Reach Toothbrushes because I checked earlier in the week, but I wanted to see if they might have them and the ProGlide Razors. The online coupon for $2/2 Reach expired that day, so I thought I would give it one last try and maybe get a rain check. I talked with the manager to get a rain check, and she told me she would go ahead and complete the transaction like I purchased the toothbrushes that day. I paid a little over $1 in tax, but will get 24 toothbrushes free when they come in. She said she would call me personally!!! I managed to get all 9 ProGlide Razors that I had coupons for at the same time! I was not aware that if they were out of an item that they would go ahead and complete the transaction like they were there and call when the items come in. THIS IS GREAT!!! I love my new Walgreens!
I went to Walgreens today and got a great diaper deal. Walgreens brand jumbo packs are buy one, get one 1/2 off.
Bought 2 packs $8.99 + $4.49= $13.48
Used Walgreens infant care book coupon- $2.00/1 x 2
All of the jumbo packs at my store had $1 manufacturer peelies on them (which i was surprised b/c I assumed Walgreens was the manufacturer)
so $6 in coupons, paid $7.48 + tax or $3.74/pack
I gave the $2 coupon first in case they would only accept one or the other, but the peelies didn’t beep or anything. They rang up as manuf coupon!
I’ll be going back for more later!

ok, I printed off the B1G1 FREE coupons for the Kraft MacNCheese like last week and put it in my binder. Walgreens is doing B1G1 FREE this week and they are $1.79, went to the Walgreens got 4 boxes and put 2 coupons on the counter. They would not let me use the coupons and get them for free. This is why I have almost quit shopping at Walgreens, always issues now. I am so sick of dealing with trying to find fillers for the RR that I earned and that I want to use to get a great deal. Now they are telling me I can’t use the B1G1 FREE coupons with their sale. Any suggestions? This is the one right by Cowboys Stadium.
linda maness » I just got off the phone with the manager. She said she had always been “told”, meaning she hasn’t read the policy, that she couldn’t do that. She is going to review the policy and speak to her community leader and call me back.
The policy on their website hasn’t changed.
Did you have your policy with you? This is a great example of why to carry it, they often have no idea what it says.

I just got a call from Becky – the Manager. She reviewed the policy and apologized. She said they had been mis-informed. She also said there had been people fired over handling coupon issues incorrectly. That always makes them gun shy. I told her that we understood and only wanted to work within their policy. She said for you to come back and they would be happy to take care of you.
