The Sparkle Box

The Sparkle Box Giveaway!

I had the opportunity to check out a very cool book a few weeks ago!

Here is the touching story of a young boy who unknowingly participates in a powerful new Christmas tradition: honoring Jesus on His birthday by giving to others.
Sam is so excited about Christmas! He’s thinking about his Christmas list, looking forward to holiday parties, and puzzling over one very mysterious gift: a sparkly box sitting on the mantel. In the midst of the festivities, Sam and his family participate in various acts of kindness to others. On Christmas morning, when Sam finally opens the Sparkle Box, he finds only slips of paper that record the family’s good deeds. Sam’s mom explains that the things that they’ve been doing are, in fact, a gift for Jesus, for Jesus said that whatever we do for those in need, we do for Him.
Hardcover with jacket, 10 x 10, 32 pages, ages 4 to 8
Fold-out Sparkle Box included!

The Sparkle Box

It’s a great story and I LOVE that at the end there’s a surprise!  Your child will be able to assemble their own “Sparkle Box” that is hidden in the back of the book!

It was so fun to read this to my Granddaughter and see her face when we got to the end and she found out that she could have her own “Sparkle Box”!

After loosing my 2nd son, who was stilborn at 34 weeks, I have had many random acts of kindness. The BLM (baby loss mom) community is exceptional when it comes to helping remember our babies who have gone to heaven. Last month I recieved the most precious bear in the mail that was made by a company (http://www.mollybears.com) that was founded by a BLM. She makes these special bears the weight that your baby was when he/she was born. They also take extra time to embelish the bears with something special for the baby. Ours has a tie and a butterfly on the tie. Our “Jordan” bear weighs 5 lbs 3oz, and is simply amazing!!!

Someone paid for our purchase at a store we didn’t know only accepted cash. It was just a few dollars worth of items, but it was a great gesture!

I don’t really have any “random” acts of kindness that were done for me, but I certainly have had acts of kindness overflowing this past year. I have been fighting cancer and got a serious infection in Feb. and spent time in the ICU. The doctors didn’t think I would make it. Our church was there for us as well as our friends and family. A man from our church donated frequent flyer miles so my brother could come out to be with me,my parents, my in-laws and friends took care of my son so my husband could be with me, the ladies at our church cooked meals for us and when I was well enough, I had sweet visitors and cards wishing me well. :)
