Have you ever tried using Borax? I used cloth diapers with my oldest and I used Borax in the diaper pail and wash. But did you know it has many more uses?
You don’t hear a lot about it these days, but here are 18 tried and true everyday household uses for Borax:

Use a 1/2 cup in your dishwater to restore the shine to your china
Add 1 tablespoon in the detergent cup to cut down on water spots in the dishwasher
Clean your aluminum pots and pans, just mix it with water
Mix into paste, rub into the carpet stains, let dry, vacuum to clean carpet stains
For liquid carpet stains: mix 1 cup 1/2 and 1/2 with water. pour on stain, blot liquid, repeat until stain disappears
Spray mist of water, sprinkle Borax on carpet, when dry, vacuum to freshen carpet
For a great Borax Ant Killer just mix with small amount powdered sugar, leave in problem areas and insects will eat it and then die from the gas caused by the mixture, works especially well on roaches and ants
Sprinkle Borax on floors, leave for an hour, then remove to kill fleas
Mix 1 cup with boiling water, pour down drain to clear sink clogs
Mix in with cat litter when changed to control odor
For odors in mattresses and furniture (including urine): wet areas, add Borax, wait until dry, vacuum
Add small amount to bottom of trash cans to keep them smelling fresh
Add 1/2 cup to toilet, let it sit for 1 hour, clean normally to keep toilet bowl clean and fresh
For steam cleaning carpet: use 1/2 cup in 1 gallon of water in carpet steam cleaning machines
Sprinkle on floors near baseboards to repel mice
Mix 2 tablespoons Borax, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, in 2 cups hot water to remove rust
Put 3 tablespoons in garbage disposal, let stand 1 hour then flush with water to keep it fresh smelling
Sprinkle on weeds to kill them, taking care not to get on wanted plants

That has to be dangerous to put in kitty liter because of the chemicals in it. If it gets on the cats paws and it licks them then it’ll make the animal sock if not kill it.
