Be Vigilant About Your Savings!

in Great Deals on 03/16/10

I want to take a minute for a reminder.  I was very happy my husband was so nice and went to the store for me yesterday and got the Marie’s Dressings and the Old Spice deodorant and body wash.  I am still recovering and can’t drive yet.   As I was looking thru his wallet for something, I found this:

CatalinaIt’s not a great picture, so let me just tell you what it is.  It is a $3.00 off catalina for meat!  That’s great, huh?  I was excited, not often do we get any kind of coupons for meat!

Well, look closer…it expired 2/24/10!  To me, he set fire to $3!  I was not very happy!  He apologized, said when he goes to the store and they give him “all that stuff” he just sticks it in his wallet.   In all fairness, I should be checking “all the stuff” they give him when he checks out, I am the one running the “Frugal Show”!  lol

So, let this be a reminder, if anyone “runs” to the store for you, make sure you caution them to get and keep all receipts and make sure you get them from them when they return.  Listed at Friday Fail.

No one is ever allowed to go to the grocery store for me since I am the one who knows how to use all the coupons!! LOL My mom would do this, though. Thank god she doesn’t shop anymore!

      Krissy,
Normally I do all the coupon shopping, but, I have been in bed recovering from surgery for months and am just now allowed to walk a bit, but, I can’t drive! So, I have to let him shop, I just need to be vigilant! lol
      Thanks!

Such a bummer! It’s like letting money fly out the window. I’ve let ECBs, RR and Cats expire before…no fun.

Thanks for the reminder and for linking up to Friday Fails!
