Rumor has it that some Ibotta accounts may have been hacked. Some users are reporting funds missing from thier accounts.
Ibotta has never had a problem like this before and is a great app for earning money on your shopping.
Here’s what I did: First I cashed out so that no one could get to my money. Then I changed my password. To do that, just go into settings and request to reset your password. They will send you an email allowing you to change it. Very simple and safe just to be sure.
You should also think about changing out other passwords and make them hard to crack. I use Lastpass, it’s FREE and can make you military encryption grade passwords to use, PLUS it saves them all for you and all you have to remember is the password to Lastpass. It also has a FREE form filler! You don’t have to enter your info anywhere anymore – I LOVE this feature!

I was invited to attend Cheddar’s Grand Re-Opening recently and I was so glad I got to go!
Y’all know about my weight loss a couple of years ago and how I keep it off by eating normal portion sizes, which is NOT what we normally eat – you would be surprised if you started looking at everything you eat and just eating the portion size! But, I have gone off the subject – a little!
Cheddar’s has a great new menu and I got to try some of the new items and they were all great!
We got to hear from and talk with the chef at the Bedford, TX location and told us that all of the new items were under 550 calories! Nice!
The event began with a ribbon cutting:
Then we all headed inside and heard from Cheddar’s management and then the head Chef.
The chef also said that most of Cheddar’s dishes are made in house from scratch! That always makes for a healthier meal!
We got to try the Grilled Baja Chicken first:
Seasoned Chicken Breast served on homemade black beans and savory rice, topped with pico de gallo. 490 calories
Then we got to try the Asian Salad:
Fresh greens tossed with chicken, carrots, herbs, and mango stacked between two wonton crisps topped with peanut sauce and sweet chili glaze.
On this dish, you might notice it is a chicken salad – most places I go the chicken breast is sliced in maybe 6-7 pieces and lad thick on top of the salad making it hard to really have chicken throughout your salad. Well, Cheddar’s solved that problem with this salad:
In this smaller version you can see that the chicken is thinly sliced and they have tossed it in with the vegetables so that the chicken is easier to eat and is there thru the entire dish. Nice!
Then came dessert:
This is a Strawberry Cheesecake Mini Silky cheesecake atop a bed of graham cracker crumbs. Accented with strawberries and whipped cream.
This is a great idea, in my opinion, for a few reasons! These are just $.99 – that means you can get the kids a dessert without having to break the bank, it also means you don’t have to spend $5.95 on one and every one shares! lol Also, it’s not too much, not too big, won’t make you feel you shouldn’t have eaten it!
Next time you are trying to decide where to eat out, try Cheddar’s! I can’t wait to try the new Parmesan Crusted Sirloin!

Yesterday we got to spend part of the afternoon at SeaLife Aquarium.
We had a great time!
They just opened a brand new exhibit their Turtle Rescue Center! Turtles that have been rescued for one reason or another have been nursed back to health and they have now created tanks that are the perfect depth for them to safely dive based on their injuries.
Last time they invited us we got to see a turtle who had been hit by a boat and part of the shell was gone and it won’t grow back – so they “patch” it with something that simulates their shell!
They currently have 3 turtles in the new Turtle Rescue Center – their names are Roxy, Squirt, and I can’t remember the third one – oops!
The exhibit will provide a permanent home for two non-releasable endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles, Roxy and Squirt. The Turtle Rescue Center includes tanks that were specially designed to the depth the turtles are able to safely dive based on their injuries, as well as educational information on conservation and turtle rescue.
After visiting the new center we were able to enjoy the rest of the aquarium! It’s a great place to take your kids, they have hands on tanks they can touch some of the sealife and they also have a play room, and educational info throughout!
They even have an incentive to have the kids learn more about the aquarium. they can find clues and mark things off their list and get a prize at the end if they complete their tasks!
If you’ve never been to SeaLife – make plans now, it’s perfect for the hot summer weather – it’s all inside and of course air-conditioned!

So, today I thought we would discuss Walmart and their Competitor Coupons Policy.
Here’s what their policy says about Competitor Coupons:

So, once again, to me, that is price matching – plain and simple – nothing else.
They say they take competitor coupons that are for a specified price – they match the price.
They say they take Buy One Get One FREE coupons with a specified price – they match the price.
They say they DON’T take competitor coupons that are:
Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer – because there is no price to match.
Percentage off – because there is no price to match.
Buy One Get One FREE coupons WITHOUT a specified price – because there is no price to match.
Once again, we know that Walmart prices and the way cashiers and managers read and understand their own policies can vary widely from store to store – so keep that in mind when shopping there. You might find a cashier that takes these competitor coupons, or even a store that does. All I can tell you is what their policy is, I would say most of the stores have this part of their policy correct..
Remember to print and carry the policy with you whenever you are shopping there.
Above all, be patient & kind but firm when need be, knowing they may not have received the best training…
