DIY Best Blackhead Remover
I have mentioned before that my Daughter is such a help to me in the DIY category. I am not that person! Remember her DIY Shower Jellies OR How To Make Your Own Homemade Body Wash? She’s very creative – I have NO idea where she got that from!
Another project we worked on together recently was Charcoal Pore Strips which has been called the best blackhead remover. We have differing opinions on this because she plastered this stuff on my entire face… I think it was only meant to use on your T-Zone as a blackhead treatment…. but, it removed all my skin from my jawline… she says I am just whining, but, whatever! lol
This DIY blackhead remover definitely shows when you peel it off all of the impurities it pulled out. It works, I can attest to that, for sure! My Daughter uses it as a face mask DIY style, I will never do that again. I will, however, use it as pore strips – I think it is fantastic! So, it’s your choice whether you want it try it as pore strips or an at home face mask.
Plus, for the price it can’t be beat. You can make this with stuff you may already have in your pantry! If will fit easily into your budget! Click here to get your free printable Monthly Budget Worksheet.
Side note: I keep activated charcoal capsules for upset stomachs, it work great!
Let’s get this party started:
Ingredients:
1 tsp Gelatin Powder
1 TBSP Milk or Water
1 Capsule Activated Charcoal
Makeup brush or any suitable applicator brush
Blow Dryer (optional)
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients listed above in a glass or plastic container
Microwave for about 20 seconds
Let cool until it feels comfortable for your skin
Use a makeup brush and apply QUICKLY to your t-zone and chin. It goes on pretty thin, so you can add multiple layers to make sure you get a nice coverage.
Clean makeup brush with dish soap and warm water
Once it’s dry, you can use a blow dryer to speed up the process, if you like, peel off. You can use a warm washcloth to remove any excess.
That’s it! You can’t store what’s left so you’ll just discard it. You can use it once or twice a week if you like, it depends on your beauty regimen.
Give it a try and tell us what you think in the comments below.
