Fry’s No Longer Doubling Coupons!
…and another one bites the dust! Fry’s is officially out of the coupon doubling game!
Fry’s used to make every coupon $1 – so, that was one awesome coupon policy. If you had a coupon for $0.25 off, they made it $1 off. Nice! But, no more
The WORST part for Fry’s shopper’s might be that they had NO notice! NONE! If you happened to be in the store yesterday, you might have heard, otherwise – they gave no notice whatsoever and instated the no doubles policy effective TODAY!
Fry’s is owned by Kroger and Kroger (all but one region) has done away with doubles and triples. Kroger owns Fry’s, Dillions (they no longer double either), Harris Teeter, and King Soopers… so watch out if any of those stores are in your area, you could be next!
Fry’s says they have lowered prices and that’s why they dropped doubles. In our area Kroger said the “Gas Rewards” would make up for what we would lose when they removed doubles and triples. That was over 3 years ago, and I am still waiting…
However, years ago stores had special days, either each week or a few times a year where they would double coupons. So, maybe as time goes on, hopefully this practice may return? One can hope and dream…
For now, though, stock up “doublers and triplers” whenever you can! You might be next!
