Hearty Veggie Crock Pot Soup!
It has been so cold here leading up to the Super Bowl! So, today I decided I wanted soup! Just a nice simple hearty veggie Crock Pot soup!
Hubby has been my great photographer!
Our town had many activities planned for the game – all week in fact, but, this week school has been closed everyday but Monday and it was just called off for tomorrow! No one wants to go out side!
It’s supposed to snow again tomorrow, there is a chili cook-off planned for Saturday – maybe the weather will cooperate!
Hubby found this amazing display at Walmart yesterday – too cold for a girl to go out!
We have had snow and ice and temps in the teens and below! We aren’t used to this at all!
We may have a day or two but never this many and more on the way!
The wind chill the other night they said was –10!! What?!
So, today I decided I wanted soup! Just a nice simple hearty veggie soup!
1 can Hunt’s Diced Tomatoes – $.12 each
1 can Hunt’s Stewed Tomatoes – $.12 each
1 can Hunt’s Green Pepper and Onion Diced Tomatoes – $.12 each
1 lb ground turkey
1 can Del Monte Green Beans – $.26 each
1 can Sweet Peas – $.26 each
2 fresh squash – sliced
1 fresh onion – chopped
2 tbsp. minced garlic
Frozen crinkle cut carrots
I used my handy dandy Salt-FREE Mrs. Dash Seasoning Blends they sent me. I used:
Onion & Herb
Original Blend
Garlic & Herb
and
Tomato Basil Garlic
I really like how they really season without salt! I know that sounds funny – but, honestly I hadn’t tried too many things like this before, but, it really makes for great seasoning – and much healthier for the family, too!
I browned the ground turkey and chopped onion together and put all the tomato products in the Crock Pot, then added the turkey and onion mixture and all the veggies and seasonings, stirred and left it alone on low for 8 hours, it could be cooked in less time on high.
“I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Mrs. Dash and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

Did you use all 4 seasonings? Look at you. You cooked! This looks really tasty and perfect for tomorrows repeat snow day. I was leaving town in the morning to drive to the mountains but I have a feeling that won’t be happening.
